steenstrupine Min.|ˈstiːnstruːpiːn| [f. the name of Knud J. V. Steenstrup (1842–1913), Danish geologist + -ine5.] A silicate and phosphate of rare-earth and other elements (chiefly cerium, sodium, calcium, iron, and manganese), found as dark brown or black rhombohedral crystals. Also (rare) ˈsteenstrupite.
