stellerite Min.|ˈstɛləraɪt| [ad. G. stellerit (J. Morozewicz 1909, in Bull. internat. de l'Acad. des Sci. de Cracovie (Math.-Nat. Classe) ii. 350). f. the name of Georg Wilhelm Steller (1709–46), German naturalist and explorer of the Komandorski Islands in the Bering Sea where the first samples were found: see -ite1.] A zeolite, CaAl2Si7O18.7H2O, found as tabular orthorhombic crystals.
