‖ deltidium Conch.|dɛlˈtɪdɪəm| [mod.L. dim. of Gr. δέλτα delta, in reference to its shape. (Cf. Gr. κυνίδιον little dog, from κυν-.)] The triangular space, usually covered in by a horny shell or operculum, between the beak and the hinge of brachiopod shells.
