▪ I. still-hunting, vbl. n. U.S. [f. still a. + hunting vbl. n.] The practice of hunting game in a stealthy and noiseless manner.
1831Audubon Ornith. I. 335 Still Hunting is followed as a kind of trade by most of our frontier men. 1847G. F. Ruxton Adv.
