stipulative, a.|ˈstɪpjuːlətɪv| [f. stipulate v. + -ive.] That stipulates or specifies as an essential condition; spec. in stipulative definition (Logic), the act of stipulating what a word, phrase, etc. shall be used to mean; a definition so stipulated.
