strangulated, ppl. a.|ˈstræŋgjʊleɪtɪd| [f. strangulate v. + -ed1.] 1. Path. and Surg. Of a vessel, an intestine: Congested by constriction and the arrest of circulation. strangulated hernia: a hernia so constricted that the circulation in the protruded part is arrested.
