dextrose Chem.|ˈdɛkstrəʊs| [f. L. dexter, dextra (see above), with the ending of glucose: see -ose2.] The form of glucose which is dextro-rotatory to polarized light; dextro-glucose; ordinary glucose or grape-sugar.
