acetary|ˈæsɪtərɪ| [ad. mod.L. acetārium, f. acēt-um vinegar + -arium receptacle; see -ary.] ‘An acid pulpy substance in certain fruits, as the pear, inclosed in a congeries of small calculous bodies towards the base of the fruit.’ Craig 1847.
