‖ diˈacrisis Med. [mod.L. diacrisis, a. Gr. διάκρισις, f. διακρίνειν to separate; spec. to mark a crisis in a fever. Cf. F. diacrise.] a. ‘A term for the act of separation or secretion.’ b. ‘A critical evacuation.’ c. = diagnosis. Hence diacrisiˈography, ‘a description of the organs of secretion’ (Syd. Soc. Lex.).
