strobila Zool.|strəʊˈbaɪlə| Pl. strobilæ |-liː|. [mod.L. strobīla, a. Gr. στροβῑ́λη plug of lint twisted into the shape of a fir-cone.] 1. A stage in the development of certain Hydrozoa. Also attrib.
