dielectrophoresis, n. Chem.|daɪɪˌlɛktrəʊfəˈriːsɪs| [Blend of dielectric n. and electrophoresis n.] The migration of particles of a dielectric, or other particles carrying no net charge, towards the position of maximum field strength in a non-uniform electric field.
