diffluan Chem.|ˈdɪfluːæn| Also difluan. [mod. f. L. difflu-ĕre to flow away, dissolve + -an I. 2.] A chemical compound, obtained, as a loose white very soluble powder of bitter saline taste, by the action of heat on a solution of alloxanic acid.
