strongyloidiasis Med. and Vet. Sci.|ˌstrɒndʒɪlɔɪˈdaɪəsɪs| [f. Strongyloides + -iasis.] Infection with or a disease caused by nematode worms of the genus Strongyloides (family Rhabditidæ), esp. S. stercoralis, a threadworm infesting the human and the canine gut in tropical and subtropical regions, causing diarrhœa.
