Rangoon|ræŋˈguːn| The name of the capital of Burma, used attrib. in Rangoon bean, the Lima bean, Phaseolus lunatus var. limensis (see Lima); Rangoon creeper, a tropical climbing shrub, Quisqualis indica, belonging to the family Combretaceæ, native to south-east Asia, and bearing spikes of white, pink, or red flowers having an elongated calyx tube.
