‖ diploidion Gr. Antiq.|dɪpləʊˈɪdɪən| [Gr. διπλοΐδιον dim. of διπλοΐς: see next.] A form of the chiton or tunic worn by women, having the part above the waist double with the outer fold hanging loose, somewhat like a sleeveless mantle; sometimes applied to this outer fold itself.
