1. Law. A subsidiary section of a clause. Also transf.
1927Tax Cases (1928) XI. x. 801 Notwithstanding anything in sub-clause (7) of Clause 20A contained the amounts credited to members under this clause shall not be deemed to be amounts withdrawn from Reserve Fund for the purposes of that sub-clause. 1946All England Law Reports II. 577 In that sub-clause it is provided that the wife is to support, maintain and educate the child. 1959I. & P.
