(ed. 33) 1025 The floor of the diencephalon..forms the subthalamic tegmental region. This, together with the anterior part of the floor and the immediately adjacent parts of the side wall, comprise the hypothalamus. From the functional point of view, however, the subthalamic tegmental region is usually excluded from the hypothalamus. 1973Brit. Med.
