sulvanite Min.|ˈsʌlvənaɪt| [f. sulphur n. + vanadium + -ite1.] A bronze-coloured sulphide of copper and vanadium, Cu3VS4, that usu. occurs massive, rarely as crystals having cubic symmetry, and is often chemically altered.
