raspite Min.|ˈræspaɪt| [ad. G. raspit (C. Hlawatsch 1897, in Ann. des K.K. Naturhist. Hofmuseums XII. 33), f. the name of Mr. Rasp, discoverer of the Broken Hill mines, New South Wales, where the first specimen was found: see -ite1.] A lead tungstate, PbWO4, that is dimorphous with stolzite and occurs as brownish, yellow, or grey prismatic monoclinic crystals.
