supernal, a. (n.)|s(j)uːˈpɜːnəl| Also 5–7 -all, 6 -al(l)e. [a. OF. supernal (12th c., later supernel) = It. supernale, Pg. supernal, or ad. med.L. *supernālis, f. supernus supern: see -al1.] A. adj. 1. That is above or on high; existing or dwelling in the heavens.
