† suppone, v. Chiefly Sc. Obs. [ad. L. suppōnĕre: see suppose v. Cf. Pr. supponer, It. sopporre, Sp. suponer, Pg. suppôr.] 1. trans. To substitute fraudulently: = suppose v. 13.
