svabite Min.|ˈsvɑːbaɪt| [ad. Sw. svabit (H. Sjögren 1892, in Geol. Föreningens i Stockholm Förhandl. XIII. 789), f. the name of A. Svab (1703–68), Swedish mining official: see -ite1.] A fluoride and arsenate of calcium found as colourless or light-coloured prismatic crystals of the hexagonal system.
