dromæognathous, a. Ornith.|ˌdrɒmiːˈɒgnəθəs| [f. Dromæus generic name of the emeu, (ad. Gr. δροµαῖος swift-running) + γνάθος jaw: see -ous.] Having the bones of the palate arranged as in the emu and its allies. Hence dromæˈognathism, the arrangement of the palate-bone in this particular manner.
