Duvetyn|ˈdjuːvɪtiːn, ˈdʌvtɪn| Now usu. with lower-case initial. Also -tine, -tyne. [f. Fr. duvet down.] The trade name of a soft material of worsted and silk with a fine downy nap, used for women's coats and dresses. Also attrib.
