ratification|rætɪfɪˈkeɪʃən| [a. F. ratification (1358 in Godef. Compl.) or ad. med.L. ratificātio (1228 in Du Cange), n. of action f. ratificāre to ratify.] The action of ratifying or confirming; sanction, confirmation, approval. Also attrib. ratification meeting (U.S.), a meeting held for the purpose of expressing approval of the nominations made by a political party.
