Sylheti, n. and a.|sɪlˈhɛtɪ| Formerly also Sylhetti, (in sense A. b) Sylhettia. [f. Sylhet, the name of a city in north-eastern Bangladesh + -i2.] A. n. a. A native or inhabitant of the Sylhet region. b. The dialect of Bengali spoken there. B. adj. Of or pertaining to the Sylheti or their language.
