edriophthalmian, a. and n.|ˌɛdrɪɒfˈθælmɪən| [f. mod.L. edriophthalma n. pl. (irregularly f. Gr. ἕδρα seat + ὀϕθαλµ-ός eye) + -ian.] A. adj. Belonging to or resembling the Edriophthalma, or ‘sessile-eyed’ Crustacea (including the Prawns, Shrimps, etc.). B. n. An individual of that order.
