Eftpos, n. Finance.|ˈɛftpɒz, -pɒs| Also EFTPOS, EFT-POS, etc. [Acronym f. the initial letters of electronic funds transfer at (the) point of sale; cf. POS s.v. P II. a.] A system of cashless payment in which funds are electronically transferred directly from the customer's account to the retailer's, using the customer's charge or debit card.
