tabardillo Path. (tæbəˈdɪləʊ, ‖ tabarˈdiʎo) [Sp. tabardillo (see quot. 1980).] A fever common in Mexico and S. America; now spec. a murine typhus (cf. murine a. b) found in Mexico which, unlike most forms of murine typhus, can occur as an epidemic.
