adelo-|əˈdiːləʊ, ˈædɪləʊ| comb. form of Gr. ἄδηλος not manifest or evident, unseen, in adelocoˈdonic a. (see quot.); adeloˈmorphic, -ˈmorphous adjs., applied to the central cells of the peptic glands.
