ellestadite Min.|ɛlɪˈstædaɪt| [f. the name of R. B. Ellestad (b. 1900), American analytical chemist + -ite1.] A halogen-containing mineral of the apatite group in which phosphorus is largely replaced by sulphur and silicon.
