Takayasu Path. (‖ takaˈjasu) [The name of Michishige Takayasu (1872–1938), Japanese ophthalmologist, who described the disease in 1908.] Takayasu's disease: a chronic arteritis leading to obstruction of blood-flow, esp. in the vessels arising from the aortic arch; pulseless disease.
