A hydrated arsenate of calcium, magnesium, and barium, Ca2(Mg, Ba)(AsO4)2.2H2O, found as triclinic crystals.
1961Chem. Abstr. LV. 8186 Analysis of an arsenate of Ca and Mg discovered in 1955..permits the definition of this new mineral as an isomorph of β-roselite... The name talmessite is proposed for the mineral. 1977Mineral. Abstr. XXVIII. 229/2 White fibrous radiating aggregates of talmessite occur linked with the baryte. |
