encanthis Med.|ɛnˈkænθɪs| Also 7 enchanthis, encanthe. [a. Gr. ἐγκανθίς tumour in the inner corner of the eye, f. ἐν in + κανθός the corner of the eye.] ‘A small red excrescence in the inner canthus of the eye, growing from the caruncula lacrymalis and semilunar fold of the conjuctiva’ (Syd. Soc. Lex.).
