‖ enchondroma Path.|ɛnkɒnˈdrəʊma| Pl. enchondromata. Also (formerly) in adapted form enchondrom. [mod.L., as if a. Gr. *ἐγχόνδρωµα, f. ἐν in + χόνδρος cartilage.] Orig., a tumour having a structure resembling cartilage. In later use usu. restricted to mean: a chondroma arising within a bone.
