tauhinu N.Z.|taʊˈhɪnʊ| Also tarwinie. [a. Maori.] An evergreen shrub, Pomaderris phylicifolia, of the family Rhamnaceæ, native to New Zealand and southeastern Australia and bearing downy leaves and clusters of small yellow flowers. Also attrib.
