Tavastian, n. (and a.)|təˈvæstɪan| [f. Tavast(ehus, Sw. name of the Finnish town of Hämeenlinna in the province of Häme + -ian.] A member of one of the major ethnic groups of the Finnish people. Also attrib. or as adj. Also ˈTavastlander.
