Having each one of the carpal or tarsal bones of one row articulated with one of the other row; opposed to diplarthrous. So ˈtaxeopod, a. = taxeopodous; n. a member of the division Taxeopoda of ungulate mammals (comprising the Proboscidea and the extinct Condylarthra), having this arrangement of the tarsal bones; taxeˈopody, taxeopodous condition.
