ensiform, a. and n. Biol.|ˈɛnsɪfɔːm| [f. L. ensi-s sword: see -form.] A. adj. Sword-shaped. (Often said of leaves.) ensiform cartilage, a cartilage appended to the sternum or breast-bone.
