‖ entrechat|ɑ̃trʃa| [Fr. entrechat, ad. It. (capriola) intrecciata a complicated caper, f. intrecciare, f. in in + treccia tress, plait.] A figure or feat in dancing, in which the performer, during a leap from the ground, strikes the heels together a number of times.
