(ed. 9) II. 511 The right bronchus..soon gives off a branch..which comes off above the place where the right pulmonary artery crosses the bronchus (eparterial branch). 1921A. Keith Hum. Embryol. (ed. 4) xxii. 349 The bronchus of the upper right lobe..commonly lies above its artery—that is to say, it is eparterial. The other bronchi are hyparterial. 1962Gray's Anat. (ed. 33) 1340 After giving off a branch to the upper lobe of the right lung—termed the superior lobe (eparterial) bronchus because it arises above the right pulmonary artery—the right (hyparterial) bronchus passes below the artery. |
