Epeirid Zool.|ɛˈpaɪərɪd| [ad. mod.L. Epeiridæ (see below), ? f. Gr. ἐπί on + εἴρειν to string together.] A member of the family of web-spinning spiders, formerly called Epeiridæ, now known as Argiopidæ. Also attrib. or as adj.
