The formation of continents; the deformation of the earth's crust by which continents and ocean basins are produced. So epeiroˈgenesis [-genesis]= epeirogeny; epeirogeˈnetic [-genetic], epeirogeˈnetical, epeiroˈgenic [-genic] adjs.
