epiphyllous, a. Bot.|ɛpɪˈfɪləs| [f. epi- + Gr. ϕύλλ-ον leaf + -ous.] That grows upon a leaf: predicated a. of parasitical fungi; b. of stamens inserted upon the perianth; c. of flowers growing on the surface of a leaf.
