Euboic, a.|juːˈbəʊɪk| [ad. L. Euboïcus, Gr. Εὐβοϊκός, f. Εὐβοία Eubœa, the island subsequently called Negropont (now Evvoia).] Belonging to Eubœa; esp. in Euboic talent, a weight in use at the time of the Persian war. (Some authors write Eubœan in this as in other uses.)
