Ent.|juːˈglɒsaɪn| [f. mod.L. genus name Euglossa + -ine1.] Pertaining to or designating any of various South American bees of the genus Euglossa, characterized by the collecting of an odoriferous substance from certain fragrant orchids; also applied to orchids visited by these insects. Also as n., a euglossine bee.
