euryhaline, a.|ˌjʊərɪˈheɪlaɪn| [a. G. euryhalin (K. Möbius 1871, in Jahresbericht der Commission zur wissenschaftlichen Untersuchung der deutschen Meere in Kiel (1873) I. 139), f. Gr. εὐρύ-ς wide + ἅλινος of salt.] Able to tolerate a wide range of salinity.
