† ˈthallite Min. Obs. [a. F. thallite (J. C. Delamétherie, 1792), f. Gr. θάλλ-ειν to flourish, bloom, or θαλλός young shoot (in allusion to its colour) + -ite1.] A rejected name for epidote occurring in yellowish-green crystals.
