ex-ˈconjugant Also ex-conjugate. [f. ex-1 + L. conjugānt-em pr. pple. of conjugāre (see conjugate v.); conjugate f. the vb.] One of a pair of protozoa, bacteria, etc., that have recently been in conjugation. Also attrib. or as adj.
