theogony|θiːˈɒgənɪ| Also 8–9 erron. -geny. [ad. Gr. θεογονία generation or birth of the gods, f. θεός god + -γονία a begetting. So F. théogonie.] The generation of the gods; esp. an account or theory, or the belief or study, of the genealogy or birth of the deities of pagan mythology.
